Townsville 8 Ball Open 2010
Congratulations to Brent Read (Gold Coast) in Winning the Townsville Open Comp on the May Day long weekend. Brent defeated the up and coming supa star Chris Bingley aka "Sticker Man". Good to see some top contenders from the South East travelling to Townsville, which is were the State Singles and State open team play-off are later this year (27-28-29 August 2010). I guess Brent's odds must of shorten to Win the South East Zone Singles as well. (17th July 2010)

south east zone open singles
South East Zone: Open Singles
Brad Jaenke from Ipswich defeated Adam List of City Eight Ball 5-2 in the South East Zone Open Singles held on the weekend. There were 53 entrants in the double elimination comp, the surprise packet was the Aussie players being knocked out early in the event.
This was the lead up to the QLD State singles being played next month. The Top Eight will play off in a round robin to decide the state champion. The eight players will be Brad Jaenke, Adam List, Steve Lees, Craig Stubbin, Travis Martin (all from the south east), Kris Jones and Rob Munster of North Queensland, with the final player from Central Queensland to be advised soon.
