Queensland Eight Ball Junior Tournament Rules:
1.1 Junior Championships
Association: Usually held during June/July School Holidays at venues decided by the Association Committee.
State: Usually held during September School Holidays at venues decided by the Federation Committee.
1.2 Age Qualification
Tournaments are conducted in three age groups.
A) Under 12 years of age at 1st January the year of Championships
B) Under 15 years of age at 1st January the year of Championships
C) Under 18 years of age at 1st January the year of Championships
1.3 Format
Usually a round robin (or muliply round robins, depending on entries) for each each age group.
1.4 Awards
State Winners and Runners-up will receive a trophy recognising their achievement.
1.5 Queensland State Junior Team
Under 12's Champion and Runner-up will be offered a position in the State Junior team to compete at the Australian Eight Ball Junior Championships.
Under 15's Champion and Runner-up will be offered a position in the State Junior team to compete at the Australian Eight Ball Junior Championships.
Under 18's Champion, Runner Up and 3rd place getter will be offered a position in the State Junior Team to compete at the Australian Eight Ball Junior Championships
1.6 Playing Rules: World Eight Ball Pool Rules
1.7 In QEBF Junior Championships a player may only compete at his/her own age level and the next level above.
1.8 A minimum $200.00 First Payment must be forwarded to QEBF along with the Acceptance Form within 2 weeks of selection in the Queensland Team.

The Mens Team play-off was held on Saturday at the Sportsmens Club and Kondari Hotel (6 Tables). Twenty Eight men played a single frame round robin event.To qualify each player need to play 16 frames, with the final 8 players playin a total of 20 frames. Play began at 10AM and was completed around 6PM.
The Womens Team play-off was held on Saturday at the Bayswater Hotel (2 Tables). Twelve women played a single frame round robin event.To qualify each player need to play 11 frames. Play began at 10AM and was completed around 4PM.
The Mens Singles Best of 7 frames (semi and finals 9) was held on Sunday at the Sportsmens Club and Kondari Hotel (6 Tables). Sixteen men played a single knockout competition. The Final was won by Rhys Dale who narrowly defeated Darren Halter.
The Womens Singles Best of 7 frames (semi and finals 9) was held on Sunday at the Bayswater Hotel. Twelve women played a single knockout competition. The Final was won by Bonnie Campbell who defeated Sandie Wright.
The masters team play-off was held on Sunday at the Sportsmens Club. Twelve over 50 years of age players played a single frame round robin. Best over was Jack Lewis, John B, Ian W, Jon C.

Notice: 2011 SEQ Open Ranking Tournaments
Time and table restraints following the loss of Super 8 Centre means existing
Tournament Rules will apply for Open Rankers 3 (8/5/11) and 4 (28/6/11).
1. Event numbers are capped at 60.
2. Players registered as A Grade/Div 1 from SEQ member associations are eligible. Such players accepted per current ranking order (if numbers exceed 60)
3. Players registered as B Grade/Div 2 may attend but will be balloted to any available spots to a maximum of 60 entrants.
While acknowledging many non A grade players attend and receive development for the future, the program is primarily designed to select SEQ open squad for the State Open
Team trials. Such players need high end competition with assurance the event finishes by 7pm.
Committee members – check the current ranking list and advise any of your non A grade players BEFORE ranker 3.
It was also resolved to send the SEQ Associations the following.

QEBF bylaws require annual fees – $9 per player and player lists – name, grade, team, junior, female by the first Sunday in April.
SEQ committee will charge a late submission levy of $1/member if such fees and lists are not received by Treasurer/Secretary by April 30th.
Reminder:
City v Country team lists and fees of $200/team are due May 14th. A Late fee or exclusion may apply.
6.MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE – DUTIES
6.1 President
QLD Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
The president usually chairs the management committee and will also play a major role in the incorporated association’s meetings. Under the model rules, the president is required to chair all meetings he/she attends. If the president cannot attend a meeting for any given reason, another member of the management committee can be nominated as chair.
