2nd Ladies Ranking Another strong turnout for the ladies ranker, twenty-eight girls in total. Also good to see Tanya and Sue having a hit out. Best on the day were Sharon, Lauren and Sue. Both Kerri and Jazz had there tails waging after droping a few early games first up. The improvers Kerry S, Jade and Aliesha all knuckled down to pot a few more eightballs in the second raking event. Note: The Ladies singles will be held in Townsville (90%) this year.   CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW FOR THE STATS

Womens Team: SA 13 QLD 8 After a fantastic win over WA in the preliminary final, the QLD girls took on the strong SA side. QLD got off to a poor start and lost the first set 6-0. The girls mounted a great fightback but there was just too much to do. The girls played well but were pegged back many times with some unfortunate in-offs which the SA side took full advantage of

Open Team: SA 16+4 v VIC 16+0 This was a great match between 2 great teams. All mistakes were punished early and at half time it was 8-8. The Vics then pulled away to lead 16-13 in the final set and were just 1 frame away from consecutive titles. However the SA side fought back with some great pool. At 16-14 with Paull Clack taking on Mick Delahunty it looked like it would go to the final frame when Delahunty played some great positional pool after getting a couple balls off his break.

Women’s Singles: 9 Elise Mabbott (WA) Kristyn Nelson (SA) 3 I did not watch much of this match as I was watching Rusty play. Elise played good attacking pool and won the match comfortably for her 3rd Singles title. comments by Dane Beeton

QLD Open team: My first Nationals got off to a great start with a 13-11 win over WA and i won 2/3. Overall we beat WA, NT and ACT twice and lost to Vic twice. However our finals fate lied with the results against SA, TAS and NSW. In our first match with SA we led 11-5 going into the last set. We couldn’t finish them off and they fought back to snatch a 12-12 draw. Our second match with them was a disaster for us and they blew us away 19-5. I believe our tournament came down to the
