Today we are saying goodbye to a Queensland Champion, Steve Lees (The Eagle) who sadly passed away today.
Steve was inducted into the QEBF Hall of Fame for his outstanding achievements in our sport, eight ball.
• First Queensland Singles Champion 1984
• First Aboriginal Singles Champion
• First Queenslander to named in the Australian Side – 1984
• 2 x QEBF Open Singles Champion 1984; 1997
• 5 x Australian Team selection.
• 5 x QEBF Masters Singles Champion 2008; 2010; 2011; 2014; 2015
• 8 x QEBF Open Qld Doubles Titles
• 13 x Captained the Qld State Team
• Represented Queensland at 26 of 33 Nationals
• Only player to have been in both Open & Masters Teams when they have won the Australian Championships.
• Served on the Queensland Eight Ball Federation committee.
Rest in peace, legend. We’ll never forget you.
