Queensland Eight Ball Federation Incorporated (QEBF)

Effective Date: 1 January 2026

Welcome to the Queensland Eight Ball Federation Incorporated (“QEBF”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) website.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, the purchase of memberships, event registrations, tickets, merchandise, and any services provided by QEBF.

By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use this website.

1. About QEBF

Queensland Eight Ball Federation Incorporated (QEBF) is an incorporated association registered in Queensland, Australia.

QEBF is the recognised governing body responsible for promoting and administering the sport of Eight Ball throughout Queensland.

2. Eligibility

By purchasing a membership or registering for an event, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian;
  • the information you provide is accurate and complete;
  • you agree to comply with all QEBF policies, rules and regulations.

3. Memberships

Membership is subject to approval by QEBF and/or an affiliated association.

Membership fees:

  • are payable at the time of application;
  • are generally non-refundable once approved, except where required by Australian Consumer Law;
  • may be renewed annually.

Membership does not guarantee selection in representative teams, tournaments or other events.

Members agree to comply with:

  • the QEBF Constitution;
  • By-Laws;
  • Codes of Conduct;
  • Tournament Rules;
  • Disciplinary Policies;
  • Child Safe Policies;
  • any policies adopted by QEBF from time to time.

Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of membership.

4. Event Registrations and Tickets

Event registrations are accepted subject to availability.

QEBF reserves the right to:

  • refuse an entry;
  • cancel an event;
  • postpone an event;
  • alter venues or schedules;
  • change event formats where necessary.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet all eligibility requirements before entering an event.

Entry fees are payable in full before participation.

5. Event Refunds

Unless otherwise stated:

Refunds will generally only be issued where:

  • an event is cancelled by QEBF;
  • required under Australian Consumer Law;
  • otherwise approved by QEBF in exceptional circumstances.

Refunds may be subject to administration fees where permitted by law.

If an event is postponed, registrations may be transferred to the new date.

6. Merchandise and Products

QEBF may sell clothing, equipment, promotional items and other products.

Prices are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.

Products remain the property of QEBF until payment has been received in full.

Product images are intended as guides only and may differ slightly from the final product.

7. Shipping

Delivery times are estimates only.

QEBF is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Australia Post;
  • courier services;
  • natural disasters;
  • industrial action;
  • circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Risk in products passes to the purchaser upon delivery.

8. Returns

Returns are accepted where required under Australian Consumer Law.

We will replace, repair or refund products that:

  • are faulty;
  • are significantly different from their description;
  • are not of acceptable quality.

Change-of-mind returns are accepted only at the discretion of QEBF.

Returned products must be unused and in original condition unless faulty.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where permitted by law, our liability is limited to:

  • replacement;
  • repair;
  • resupply; or
  • refund.

10. Prices

All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Prices may change without notice.

GST will be included where applicable.

11. Payments

Payments may be made using approved payment methods displayed on our website.

Payment processing is handled by secure third-party payment providers.

QEBF does not store complete credit card details.

12. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the website;
  • attempt unauthorised access;
  • upload malicious software;
  • interfere with website operation;

No compensation is payable for such use.

Parents or guardians provide this consent on behalf of participants under 18 years of age.

15. Member Conduct

Members and participants must behave respectfully towards:

  • officials;
  • volunteers;
  • spectators;
  • other players.

QEBF may remove or suspend individuals engaging in:

  • abusive behaviour;
  • harassment;
  • discrimination;
  • violence;
  • cheating;
  • misconduct;
  • actions bringing the sport into disrepute.

16. Suspension and Termination

QEBF reserves the right to suspend or terminate memberships, event entries or website access where these Terms or QEBF policies have been breached.

17. Privacy

QEBF collects personal information necessary to administer memberships, competitions and events.

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using this website, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites.

QEBF is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of external websites.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QEBF is not liable for:

Participation in sporting activities carries inherent risks.
