QLD Open Singles and Team Play-off

The Queensland State Open Singles will be played on Friday 28th August 2010. Friday will be a Round Robin Event with the top two playing in the State Final. The singles winner goes direct to the number one spot in the Queensland State Team.  Closely followed on Saturday 29th and Sunday the 30th with the Queensland State Open Team Play-off. Twenty-four “24” players will contest the state open play-off. Queensland Open Team 2010

Thanks to the South Townsville Bowls Club for suppling the venue for the open team play-off, Thanks to the Townsville Eight Ball Association for organising eight brand new "Pot Black" pool tables. Thanks to Eight Ball North Queensland for organising umpires and officials etc during the week-end, also a pat on the back for Kimiko, Matt and Paul for doing the long hours calling most of the frames on the game sheets. Queensland State Masters Singles 2010 Champion is Steve Lees, well done champ. Steve defeated Lenny Stein in the Queensland State Masters held at Q-Masters, Milton, Brisbane. Third was Rob Munster. Therefore the Queensland Masters team would be Steve Lees, Lenny Stein and Rob Munster, also next in line is Malo Chanfoon and then Gary Proctor. North Queensland Singles

The North Queensland Open Singles was played at the Barbinda Hotel over the 17/18th July weekend. Following the NQ format 16 players played in the Best of 5 round Robin event. Topping the ladder was 2009 State Player ‘Kris Jones on 11/15 closely followed by Dave Eaglan with 10/15. Third overall was Rob Munster on 9/15. Kris won the Final 6/4. Well done NQ Kris Jones Beat Dave Eaglen in final 6-4
